Family Update and Things That Bug Me

For those of you that are interested I’d just like to mention that we have some news on the family situation: we’re having twin girls! We found out the genders just this week, and we’re very excited. Although to some extent we were hoping for one boy and one girl, these are the kids God wanted to give us and we are delighted that they are growing fast and are health and happy.
This week:
- books I’ve read this week: Financial Armageddon by Pastor John Hagee. This book is more about the (Biblical) end times than it is finances, but the book was short and was recently published so it reflects what we’ve been seeing in the news just this past month or two. Also note that this is a completely different book from this one: Financial Armageddon by Michael Panzner, which I read and highly recommend.
- books I’ve read this week: Countdown To The Apocalypse by Grant Jeffrey. I guess I’m just on an apocalyptic kick at the moment!
- book I’m most excited about reading next: The Great Depression of Debt: Survival Techniques for Every Investor by Warren Brussee
This week’s list of things that bug me:
- people upset that they can’t buy lotto tickets on credit cards. Apparently this is not allowed in some states, including Texas. Bummer. There goes MY retirement plan!
- people who complain about CEO’s that mismanage companies, while the person complaining is overloaded with debt, living in a house they can’t afford, and eating out five times a week.

Congrats on the twins. You will have you hands full (in a good way). Those sound like very interesting books.

Congrats on the girls! We have 17-mo-old twin boys and a 3.5 yr old boy. And if we had a dollar for every time someone said, “You have your hands full” we could retire already!
It’s a blessing and an honor to have twins. You’ll have a blast! There’s nothing like having TWO babies laugh at you!
BTW, I totally agree with your list of things that bug you… they really bug me too!

Congrats on the twin girls! My wife wants to find out what we’re having before Christmas, but I kinda want to wait a little longer until the 21wk sono in January.
I really want a girl, but part of me thinks she should have an older brother
. God’s already decided, so either way I’ll be one proud, happy dad

LOL Your list of “things that bug me”. So true. I didn’t know that people tried to buy lotto tickets on credit cards, though, or that it wouldn’t be allowed. That’s hilarious!
It’s a new form of gambling addiction. I’m going to take out a line of credit so that I can spend a few bucks trying to win a few million.
