Kroger Gift Card Problem Resolved

May 22, 2008 – 8:00 am

I wrote last week that I bought a $300 Kroger gift card in order to take advantage of their program to get 10% off my groceries. What I failed to realize at the time of my purchase was that the checkout person didn’t enter the correct dollar amount for the gift card, and therefore shorted me my addition 10% ($30). After a few trips back to the store and speaking with three different people I was finally able to get the issue resolved. They issued me a separate $30 gift card which was fine with me.

Please make sure you check your gift card receipt when purchasing a Kroger gift card. The receipt should show the total value of the card, including the 10% bonus value.
