Save Money On Groceries At Kroger - Bonus Hack
May 13, 2008 – 6:16 amA few days ago I published an article titled “Save Money On Groceries At Kroger“, that described a way to save 10% or more off of your Kroger purchases.
After discussing this with my wife, she (brilliantly) mentioned that we could also use our Kroger gift card to purchase Christmas gift cards for our family. We typically purchase 3-6 gift cards for birthday’s and Christmas gifts towards the end of the year, and getting a 10% discount on these purchases would be fantastic!
Update: I asked about this when I bought a gift card at Kroger today, and the checkout person told me that you can’t buy gift cards with a Kroger gift card. I haven’t tried it myself, but unfortunately my wife’s great idea apparently isn’t doable.

I just bought a card yesterday. You can use your credit card to buy these so I used my rewards card which pays 3% on groceries. I just saved 13% on groceries!!
